PERSONALITY: motley grew up under terrible circumstances that have made him the person he is today. he's a loner due to being bullied quite a bit and he has a hard time trusting people. he is extremely timid and lacks confidence in most things. you will usually find him by himself, but he doesn't really mind it; being alone means no one else will hurt him. while he is independent for the most part, he really does depend on his twin sister for a lot. without her, this teenager lock himself in his room at all times. motley is extremely paranoid of people using him like his father and his father's girlfriend did, which hinders any relationships, friendship of further.

HISTORY motley was the last born of his siblings, something that wound haunt him for the rest of his life. shortly after he was born, something terrible happened: his mother died, painfully and inexplicably. it nearly destroyed his father and quickly gave the man a perfect reason to loathe his only son. all three of the callahan children grew up with some sort of abuse from their father, but motley got it the worst due to it being "his fault" that his mother had died. after his father started dating again, motley got further abuse from his potential step-mothers. when he wasn't getting hit, he was usually locked in the closet... often for days at a time. his worst memory was when he had his virginity ripped away by his dad's girlfriend when she was drunk. instead of being mad about, his father laughed and encouraged it. when he was thirteen, the abuse finally came to a stop and the three callahans were sent to live with their aunt and uncle in new york. motley never left his twin's side and didn't speak for a full year. he refused to be alone with anyone but his sisters for the longest time, needing group therapy until he was comfortable enough to have one-on-one sessions. today, he's still uncomfortable being alone with people; he feels like broken goods and is almost convinced people have ulterior motives when talking to him.
